$2,773.00 to $2,946.00 per month.

Duties:

Under the direct supervision of the CUIDAR Co-Directors, the incumbent will be responsible for the coordination and day-to-day operations of the child enrichment program. The incumbent will be responsible for intern/staff recruitment, scheduling of orientations, and supervising child enrichment group staff and interns. The incumbent will schedule child enrichment group staff and interns to provide services at sites hosting parent/child intervention classes. The incumbent will provide training for child enrichment staff, coordinate lead staff meetings and training sessions for child enrichment group staff and interns, and will assist in the child enrichment curriculum development. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising CUIDAR interns at the Infant-Toddler Lab on the CSUSB campus. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining and updating all children’s group staff personnel files. The incumbent will maintain an inventory of program materials used in parent/child intervention classes, and will be responsible for ordering supplies. The incumbent will attend weekly staff meetings, and will perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Child Development or Early Childhood Education. Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a Master’s degree program in Child Development or related field. Applicants must have completed the following courses (or equivalents): HD 280 (Early Childhood Development), HD 281 (Child Guidance with supervised lab), and HD 282 (Early Childhood Curriculum with supervised lab). Completion of Early Childhood Administration coursework is preferred. Applicants must possess experience in a preschool setting, along with knowledge of developmentally-appropriate practices. Applicants must possess superior organizational detail, interpersonal, and leadership skills, along with the ability to multi-task. Applicants must be a self-starter and must possess the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Applicants must possess the ability to work cooperatively with the public and the campus community. Knowledge regarding CPS reporting is preferred. Applicant must demonstrate strong leadership attributes. Excellent written and oral skills are essential. Applicants must have experience with Word and Excel software applications. Applicants must have the availability to work evenings. Previous experience working with challenging children is preferred. Some occasional weekends required.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a thorough background investigation. The selected candidate must also complete and successfully pass a Live Scan fingerprinting clearance to work with minors prior to appointment. This position will remain open until filled.
