Under the general supervision of the MARC and MIDARP Project Director, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining records of student program participants, responding to program queries from potential student participants, advising and helping student participants comply with program policies and procedures, scheduling guest speakers, program advertisement, and outreach activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for student recruitment and advising, scheduling meetings; serving as an assistant event manager for all lectures; ordering supplies and equipment; tracking grant related expenditures and maintaining the program's website. The incumbent will perform all other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a behavioral or natural science. Applicants must have effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Applicants must have the ability to prioritize competing work deadlines and produce highly accurate work. Applicants must have knowledge of Windows XP and MS Office programs. Applicants must be able to work independently, as well as cooperatively with program participants, university staff, and faculty members. Applicants must have the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals. Qualified candidate(s) must successfully pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment.
