Continuous Quality Improvement

The most dazzling achievements made by our university have been accomplished by successful teams. For that reason CSUSB has created a team recognition program called STARS: Superior Teams Achieving Results Successfully. The acronym defines groups of employees working together toward a common goal: delivering excellent quality service to our customers!
At the August Administration & Finance Leadership Retreat at Lake Arrowhead Resort, employees who had collaborated on their departments" strategic planning through the QI framework, Balanced Scorecard and/or participated in quality improvement tools, such as process mapping, were recognized for their efforts and achievements. Among those departments recognized were: Accounting, Commuter Services, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, and Parking Services.
In the near future, we plan to unveil team awards to recognize those groups who have contributed to the success of their departments through quality improvement.
