Under the general supervision of the Director of CPHDRT, the Budget Analyst will independently coordinate the clerical and administrative support functions of the Center. The incumbent will develop, monitor and report on state and/or Foundation budgets. The incumbent will track complex, nested budgets and ensure all expenditures fall within federal and state guidelines. The incumbent will advise faculty and staff on the funding rules and regulations of the grant as well as campus requirements for reimbursement. The incumbent will utilize PeopleSoft to submit purchasing requisitions and generate queries. The incumbent will coordinate and plan various events that include campus and community participants, determine appropriate venues, organize and plan menus, and plan and execute the appropriate marketing for the events. The incumbent will supervise student assistants and staff, delegating duties and assigning responsibilities. The incumbent will assist with grant writing, preparing grant budgets and forms. The incumbent will research the grant plan and execute complex projects requiring the coordination of various campus departments as well as vendors. The incumbent will work with diverse faculty, staff and students across the Foundation and the university campus to accomplish the various goals of the grant. The incumbent will perform all other duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or related field, from an accredited university, a Master's Degree in Business Administration is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of five years experience with state and/or federal budgeting practices and procedures, including five years experience in general office work. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of office equipment along with a thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures and practices, and a thorough knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Applicants must have the knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies and procedures, along with a working knowledge of PeopleSoft. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of office systems, along with the ability to use a broad range of technology, systems and software packages. Applicants must have the ability to effectively handle a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those of a sensitive nature, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
