Employee Training and Development

CSUSB Employee Training & Development is committed to providing a variety of employee development workshops and other training programs for both professional and personal skill enhancement. We are dedicated to serving the training and development needs of our employees through offering high quality, relevant, convenient and cost effective programs that align with the University's overall strategic goals.

In addition, we encourage our employees to take advantage of self development opportunities granted through the fee waiver benefit and out-service training request programs, as well as CSU system-wide seminars. Information about all of these and other training programs can be found on this site.

If you have a question on employee training or would like to request departmental or topic-specific training, please contact the training department at hrtrain@csusb.edu or call the Training Hotline at ext. 73125.

If you would like to apply for Out-Service Training Funds, please complete the Out-Service Training Funds Application Form and submit to HRD at SH-110.

In the interests of Quality and Continuous Improvement, we are always looking for ideas and feedback on how to improve and expand our current program offerings and welcome the opportunity to partner with you and your department's resources to offer you first-class training opportunities.

We look forward to serving your needs and continuously providing you with the best opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills and achieve your professional development goals.

Required Training

In order to maintain legal compliance and a safe, respectful workplace, CSUSB requires employee participation in certain workshops. There are currently three required topics, which are usually offered on a quarterly basis:

There are other workshops which are not required but are highly recommended. Included are such topics as Disaster Preparedness and Workplace Ethics, which are offered periodically throughout the year.

For information on the required courses and other training and development classes please view the Training Catalog. This webpage is updated quarterly with the new class schedule for that specific quarter.

To register for these workshops, please email hrtrain@csusb.edu or call the Training Hotline on ext. 73125.

If you have any question about our training programs or the Fee Waiver Benefit, please contact Karen Logue at ext. 75138.
