Permits/Decals

Annual, Quarterly, and Weekly Parking Permits are available to students, faculty, and staff through the Bursar's Office during normal business hours.

Quarterly permits may also be purchased at the Coyote Bookstore during the first 4 weeks of each quarter.

Quarterly permits for the Palm Desert Campus may be purchased in the Administration Office.

Daily parking permits may be purchased at the following locations:

• University Parkway in front of the Information Center
• Parking Lots A, B & G
• Median between Parking Lots E & F
• Coyote Drive (2 permit dispensers)
• Serrano Village Drive
• Information Centers (University Parkway & Coyote Drive)
• Palm Desert Campus - Lot A

Special permits/decals are required when parking in the Biology Lot, Carpool spaces and in Serrano Village Resident Spaces. These special permits may be obtained by visiting Parking Services. These special decals must be displayed along with a valid daily, quarterly or annual permit.

Daily Parking Permits

For your convenience, a Daily Parking Permit may be purchased while at CSUSB. Daily Permits can be obtained at our Information Centers (University Parkway and Coyote Drive) or at any one of 12 parking permit dispensers located throughout the main campus and PDC.

The locations of permit dispensers at CSUSB can be found on the campus map, and are denoted by the symbol (A white "P" on a red background).

Special Event Permit

Special Event Permits may be sold for certain events that take place on campus. Students displaying a valid CSUSB Parking Permit may park for free during special events. All others will be subject to an Event-Parking Fee.

To ensure that each event attendee is able to purchase a special event permit, staff from Information Services will be stationed in the appropriate locations to sell permits. Failure to obtain a special event permit may result in a parking citation.

Daily Carpool Permit

A Daily Carpool Permit can be obtained at either of the Information Centers (University Parkway and Coyote Drive). To obtain a daily carpool permit, carpoolers must have a valid CSUSB Parking Permit and two or more people must be in the vehicle at time of the request. To utilize the daily carpool permit two or more people must arrive in the carpool space together. Failure to do so will result in a parking citation.

Guest Permit Request

Guest passes may be request from Parking Services for visitor who are coming to campus on official California State University business. To determine whether or not your visitors qualify for Guest Pass dispensation please go visit the Parking Policy, section 1.02 Special Permit/Dispensation.

When requesting of 10 or fewer Guest Permits, please email information1@csusb.edu or contact Information Services at 537-5915. Please be sure to include the name of your guest, the date and time your guest will be arriving, the reason for the visit, and the department and contact number of the requester. Please be sure to request Guest Passes no later than 24 hours in advance.

When requesting 10 or more guest permits, please email your request to parking@csusb.edu or complete and submit the Guest Pass Request Form to Parking Services.
